Charity partner announced

11 March, 2026

When I was writing Unspoken, I didn’t spend any time pondering what might happen after I typed “the end.”

So, during early discussions with my publisher, when she asked, “What are your goals for the manuscript?” she was a bit taken aback by my response.

I replied, “Print a couple of copies off on a bubblejet printer and give one to each of my beautiful daughters as a testament to their mother’s resilience. Oh, and have a big party!”

She laughed and said, “I think we can do better than that.”

Earning a “return on my investment” was never part of my writing journey. But once the publication deal with Ventura was settled, I began to wonder: if I do make any money from this book, how could I use it to do some good?

SO TODAY, I'm so excited to announce that proceeds from the sale of Unspoken will be directed towards the Rotary Club of Central Launceston’s fundraising efforts for early childhood literacy charity, Rosie’s Reading. 🎉🥳👏🏼

Rosie's Reading has a simple goal: To inspire the love of reading by delivering Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library to our youngest Tasmanians.

It's a life-changing mission and that's why I’m so excited to have the opportunity to support the cause.

And, I've got more great news.

To supercharge fundraising efforts, my wonderful publisher Ventura Press has agreed to make 1,000 copies of Unspoken available through an exclusive pre-publication offer for supporters who also want to make a lasting difference in the lives of our youngest readers.

When you purchase a copy of Unspoken, I will donate $15 from the proceeds of that sale to support the fundraising efforts. At checkout, you’ll have the option to match that donation if you wish. If you do, a total of $30 will be directed to Rosie’s Reading, doubling the impact for local children.

You can find out much more about the partnership and how you can get on board by heading to the charity page on my author website: Charity
